Vaser Lipo Vs PowerX?

Question

Hi, I am wondering what are particular benefits for patients in regards to using those tools by surgeons. There are only few of PowerXs in UK and those clinics are screeming out about their superb quality, next generation etc. I get that it might be easier for a surgeon to perform on PowerX, but what could be the benefit for the petient is there is any??

VASER Lipo and Power X are two different devices made by the same company, Solta Medical (formerly Sound Surgical).  VASER is an ultrasound assisted lipo where an ultrasound wave is emitted from a probe which helps to expand and contract the tumescent fluid breaking up the fat cells by cavitation.  The fat cells after VASER are still viable and can be used for fat grafting to the face/buttocks/breast/hands/shoulders

	Power X is a power assisted liposuction cannula which moves in a 180 degree fashion which can be tweaked to cover 360 degrees of fat removal.  It is an excellent tool and I use it in combination with the VASER liposuction to get the best results and most sculpted bodies.

PowerX is a fairly new power-assisted liposuction device, from the creators of VASER Liposelection. This FDA approved device can be used alone or, as I rather use it, in combination with VASER Lipo procedures. With PowerX, it is possible to have custom-built cannula to suit surgeon’s preference. The cannula rotational angle and speed can be adjusted independently of each other providing further surgeon customization. The fatty tissue can be removed all the way around the rotational cannula for greater efficiency and smoother results when compared to other power-assisted suction devices. When using VASER Lipo on larger patients, PowerX can also be used to speed up the procedure time when de-bulking the deeper and mid layers, while preserving a lot of benefits of VASER Lipo.
