Thank you for your question and photograph.  The tissues surrounding the area of surgery can swell, as your body holds on to extra water during times of injury or stress.  This swelling normally resolves over the first few weeks after surgery and should not affect your outcome.  If your swelling does not show steady improvement, or worsens, best to have an in-person evaluation by your surgeon to ensure all is well.  

Thank you for your question.  From your question it is not obvious how much time has passed from the time of surgery.  However, it is very common for the abdominal and flank region to feel swollen and bloated after surgery as swelling does move down with gravity.  It should get better with each weak that passes by.
