What is the usual downtime for abdominal etching ?

I am thinking about getting this procedure done and I am worried about the time i would need to stay at home? So, what usually is the downtime for this proceedure ? second question , will i get 'six/eight packs' even if i am just overall at my body weight (weight 73 kg , height 174) and i am not really an athlete ?

Vaser assisted liposuction utilizes ultrasound to emulsify or melt felt prior to removal. It is also used to etch or define the muscles and normal anatomy to enhance the results. I use a specialized technique to remove the deeper fat areas and sculpt the superficial fat, so that one can achieve the goal of having not only a flatter stomach but also a more defined and curvaceous body if wanted. I can use this technique on the arms as well.

I also use the fat removed to graft into the pecs for men or breasts for women as well as into the arms and other areas to further enhance muscle definition.

The best candidates for the procedure already have a good muscular base.

The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.  Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery and high definition body contouring.

In my practice i have patients wear double compression for 4 weeks 24/7 for ab sculpting, especially since most of my patients are getting chest, arms, shoulders and stomach/back/flanks done all at the same time. we have everyone do lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen and radiofrequency treatments to ensure best results and quick healing.  this is not traditional liposuction and cannot be performed by just anyone .  do not be fooled by people claiming to do this, make sure you go to an expert who is hi def VASER trained and does this frequenly.. Thank you very much for your question.While patients usually need a week off of work due to abdominal soreness, patients don't necessarily need to "stay at home" the whole time during the recovery process.  Regarding your result, it is difficult to know without pictures.  The best thing would be an in-person exam with a board certified plastic surgeon that does the procedure frequently, and can discuss your expectations and whether or not they are obtainable. Thanks for your question. The Abdominal Etching procedure creates a more muscular definition in the male torso. Also 
referred to as the “washboard abs” look, the procedure is designed for 
men and women who are relatively fit who desire a leaner, chiseled abdominal 
appearance. There is also a modified version for men who have higher body fat levels above 20 percent. As for the downtime, at least 2 weeks of bed rest is recommended.

Abdominal etching recovery is approximately 1 week. This can be affected by having more areas etched as well.

HelloAbdominal etching with Hi-def Vaser can have a recovery period of a week. By that i mean, the patient is usually discharged the same day, however return to office can take about 6-7 days. If the etching is done with conventional lipo, it implies, that it has not been a very aggressive procedure, the return to office will be a bit earlier, approx 4 days or soHope this answers your question
