I'm looking for a revision liposuction specialist (preferably in New York) to reverse abdominal etching (lines around the rectus abdominus) and fat transfer to the abdomen. This fat transfer has created a series of fat pockets that simulate the appearance of a "six pack.” I'm 11 weeks post-op and the volume of the fat transfer hasn't changed from day 1. Could these fat pockets be flattened out? Can fat be recontoured or shifted without damaging it? Can the etching lines be minimized?
Answer: Vaser hi def lipo 4d I appreciate your question. Vaser assisted liposuction utilizes ultrasound to emulsify or melt felt prior to removal. It is also used to etch or define the muscles and normal anatomy to enhance the results. I use a specialized technique to remove the deeper fat areas and sculpt the superficial fat, so that one can achieve the goal of having not only a flatter stomach but also a more defined and curvaceous body if wanted. I can use this technique on the arms as well. I also use the fat removed to graft into the pecs for men or breasts for women as well as into the arms and other areas to further enhance muscle definition. The best candidates for the procedure already have a good muscular base. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery and high definition body contouring. Best of luck! Answer: Revision of liposuction etching and fat grafting It is difficult to guide you without photos or physical exam. I have seen this problem many times before. Several questions include how much fat was initially removed, and where was the procedure done....US or elsewhere? It is still too early to do any revisions, I would recommend waiting at least 3 more months. In the meantime, seek out an experienced board certified plastic surgeon familiar with lipo revisions.

Answer: Abdominal etching At this point, you more than likely need to give it time to heal. If you were my patient, I would likely have you wait a good 4-6 months before considering a revision.

Answer: Correcting excessive abdominal etching My recommendation is for you to give things time to settle down. Also discuss the outcome with your surgeon and share your concerns. Photos would be helpful as well.

Answer: Reversing fat transfer? Very confusing but your abdominal etching should have utilized removal of fat only; not the addition of fat to your abdomen? Please provide photo for advice.
