I was told that injecting radiesse into my chin and cheeks would but help but I'm a bit sceptical. Would radiesse or another form of treatment help to make my face longer in length and width?

technique, injectable fillers will help to volumize the face where injected. An
experienced injector can contour the face with filler to achieve the desired
results. It may take a series of treatments to build up to the volume you’d
like, and it will require maintenance treatments, as well. It is a great option
to try before seeking out surgical options. Make sure your injector is a Board
Certified Dermatologist to be sure you get the best results!

Radiesse is a great product for the cheeks. As a surgeon, I prefer placing chin implants due to predictability and permanence, though Radiesse can also be used to augment this area. I think that the most important point to consider is that it is the practitioner that is shaping your face, not the filler. I think that a variety of fillers can get to a desired effect, but I would suggest focusing your search on a good provider that you like working with rather than a particular product.

Juvederm Voluma® and Radiesse® are both excellent filler choices for shaping and enhancing the cheeks and chin/jawline, both to widen and elongate the face, if that is what you desire.

Thank you for your question. The short answer is, it depends. If you provide photos of yourself, it would likely be easier to advise you. In general, however, if someone has a slightly weak chin, or just wants a tad bit volume, Radiesse - in my hands, at least - works perfectly for this indication. It can also be used to augment the cheek, or cheek bone area. It lasts about a year, on average, and has low risk besides some minor swelling and potential bruising. While non-invasive injectables work well for a large part of the population, sometimes more invasive procedures are necessary - like chin and/or cheek implants. Your best bet it to have a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to learn more about your options, and to have your facial structure analyzed. Best of luck!
