Granulomas developing around scar 5 weeks post op butt implants. What can I do?

I’ve had a corrective surgery to get rid of granuloma small infection on my right butt cheek. It seems about 5 weeks post op that the scar has started forming granulomas again. Why is my body responding in this way and what can I do or have my surgeon do to avoid deformities if removal of the butt implants is neccesary

either the granuloma was not completely removed and has started to grow back or it is not actually a granuloma and rather something else. Do you know for sure if it was biopsied and sent for pathologic evaluation? If not it should definitely be done at this point. Glad to be of help.

The sign of recurrent granulomas is indicative in my opinion of a potential problem with the implant(s).  If you are having recurrent granulomas then implant removal must be considered.  Best wishes.

I suggest you see your primary surgeon to evaluate for possible causes such as infection. Be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure with a low complication rate
