How long after butt implant surgery can I sit in the cockpit for a two hour flight?

I recommend that you consult
your doctor about recovery times, as he/she will know your particular surgery
and case in depth. Typically, you will need to stay off of the affected area
for at least two
weeks if not more. It will be quite
tender and it will be difficult for you to sit for long periods of time. You can stand, walk, or lie down, but you must
avoid sitting directly on the healing area. Again, you should follow your surgeon’s
post-op guidelines carefully in order to allow for effective healing and
ultimately the best results.

i would recommend waiting for at least 3 weeks before doing this.  make sure you check with your implanting surgeon for clearance to do so. 

Most surgeons will recommend that pressure not be placed on the buttocks for 2 to 4 weeks after surgery.  You should ask your surgeon as he or she is ultimately responsible for your care after surgery.  Standing every 30 minutes or so is helpful as is sitting forward with pillows underneath the thighs. Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
