Hello, I'm wondering what is the best way to fix a small lip gap between my lips when my jaw is in resting position? I do NOT want to augment the shape and size of my lips. Is there a non-invasive low-risk procedure that could be done to "fill in" the gap.
Answer: Aesthetic Facial Balancing for Beautiful Lip Results Hello, and thank you for your question! I believe that you would be a great candidate for a procedure that I call Aesthetic Facial Balancing. A large part of my practice is using this procedure. What this means is evaluating a patients face and bringing the features into harmony by making adjustments with either hyaluronic acid or fat. The most important component of a fillers treatment is the practitioner administering it. I take filler and balance all features in your face from top to bottom to make them work together to 'unlock' your beauty. This procedure is not just a filler intervention augmenting the cheeks and lips, but as in overall, non surgical way to shape the face in a different way to create natural appearing results. I hope this helps!Dr. Rian Maercks, M.D.

Answer: Lip Fillers -- Juvederm Ultra/Ultra Plus/Volbella/Voluma, Restylane Silk/Lyft, Belotero, Fat Injections, Lip Lift Thank you for your question. You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique will be important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Lip gap Dear annabananaaa1, I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns. I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months. Answer: Non Surgical Lip Augmentation for Symmetry Hi annabananaaa1, Thank you for your question and your photos! You appear to be a great candidate for Lip augmentation with dermal fillers to "fill the gap" and achieve the natural symmetry you are looking for. There are a few filler options used to even out and enhance the lips. My top fillers are currently Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Vollure and Restylane Refyne. These fillers are reversible and have a smooth velvety consistency which is great for lips. Depending on the type of filler used, results can generally last 6-9 months. Selecting the right filler is important, but placement is the real key to achieving natural looking lips. I've created a video on how to achieve natural looking lips with Dermal Filler to address some frequently asked questions about the treatment. Be sure to do your homework and find an Injector with demonstrated patient results and experience with this technically challenging procedure. I hope this was helpful and good luck in your research!

Answer: How to fix asymmetric lip gap? If there has been no previous surgery or injury to the depressed area, improving the asymmetry with fat transfer would create the easiest to obtain and most natural result. A V-Y advancement procedure would also achieve some improvement.
