Hello,The diastasis is not a muscle that is weak; it is a fascial band of tissue that has widened/expanded, which will not narrow with muscle stimulation or exercise. You will need a tummy tuck to improve your abdominal contours. Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in body contouring. Best of luck!

EMS machines are great for patients already in good shape but cannot tighten the loose skin and repair a diastasis.Judging by your photographs, you may need a tummy tuck. If you are back to your pre-pregnacy weight and want to have a flat abdomen with improved core strength, you will need a tummy tuck and liposuction.See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. The connective tissue 'bridge' that composes the rectus diastasis does not really have any electromotor potential, so trying to strengthen or stimulate the rectus muscles will not improve this condition. A tummy tuck, on the other hand, presents an opportunity to tighten and flatten the abdominal wall.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

There are several products and programs sold that claim to repair a diastasis recti nonsurgically. None of them are shown to actually help you. Don't waste your money. A surgical repair does work.
