I have a big bulge above my belly button when I cough and maybe a 3 finger gap in my ab muscles. Have had 3 babies (2 of them 9 lb’ers) amd got the hernia while pregnant with my last. Wondering what type of hernia it could be and who do I see for this? OB said see a primary, primary is saying see a GI. I’m a cash pay patient so I need to keep my office visits to a minimum. Thank you in advance for your advice!!

The diastasis can be repaired after other sources of pain are ruled out including hernia. You can only use the endoscopic TT procedure in the most minimal of separations. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated for a short scar TT.
