What are my risks? And I also have sleep apnea. Would the sleep apnea affect me having the suregery repair?

it is recommended to wait until you are finished having kids before you get diastasis recti repair or tummy tuck. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for submitting your question. I think you should wait until you are finished having kids before a tummy tuck. The rectus diastasis is repaired at the time of the tummy tuck and would get stretched if you were to get pregnant again. For optimal results I recommend you consult with a Board-Certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck.

If you plan to have another child, the surgery should be deferred as the pregnancy could undermine the result.  As for sleep apnea, this should be discussed with your treating physician with respect to the anesthesia and drugs to be used.
