I'm a dental hygienist. Can I go back to work 1 week post BA?

Thank you for your question. Assuming the surgery goes well and you don't have any complications, you should be able to return to work after one week. However, if your implants are placed under the muscle, you may be sore and unable to work a full day initially. Please discuss your plan with your board certified plastic surgeon prior to your procedure. Hope this helps.

plastic surgeon has their own post-op recovery recommendations, during my
nearly 30 years of experience, I tell my patients that on average they will fully
recover 6 weeks after their breast augmentation. During this 6-week healing
process, any strenuous impact on the chest muscles should be avoided. You may
have some mild discomfort, but soreness is expected during the recovery
process. For a breast augmentation, I recommend to my patients that they can
return to work following these average guidelines:Above the muscle 3-4 daysBelow the muscle 4-10 days

Hi and thanks for your question. Usually afetr the first week you are going to do most of the activities you are used to except for lifting heavy things. Driving perhaps will take you 3 or 4 more days because of the under muscle disection. Best wishes.Dr. Milla
