3 years post rhinoplasty and I have bone separation. Is this normal?

this separation is present at the time of the surgery with most dorsal hump reductions. Nasal bones are fractured to close this gap in proportion to the degree of narrowing that needs to be accomplished at the time. The soft tissue generally blends the transition between the bone segments. If the bones had been overnarrowed, then the bone separation may be less palpable, but the nose would likely appeared  pinched or deviated.

Hi and welcome to our forum!During rhinoplasty, the nasal bones are broken and are moved into a new position, usually during nasal narrowing. The site of the fracture is usually at the junction of nasal bone and maxilla. It is not uncommon to be able to feel the fracture line, especially if the overlying skin is thin. If it were visible, a surgical rasping of the area would smooth it out.If concerned, revisit your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...

It is not normal for the bones to be separated after rhinoplasty. However if the nose look normal and you like the appearance it makes no difference. Leave it alone.
