Hi I am about to get breast augmentation a week. My doctor and I decided to go for 240/250cc implants. I'm 5'4 and 98 pounds. I am currently a 32A wanting to be a full be and or small c. Wondering if 240cc will take me there. I'm really scared that it'll be too small. Help!
Answer: Wondering about cup size after getting 240/250cc implants Hello, it's difficult to predict exact cup size after breast implants, because cup size doesn't correspond to a certain size of implants. Each bra company has their own formula for cup sizing, so you will likely have a range of cup sizes depending on your bra manufacturer. I find it is more accurate to get my patients to try on breast implant sizers while wearing an unpadded bra, as this at least gives them a sense of their actual shape and contour after getting breast implants. Unfortunately there is no perfect way to predict your exact size after getting implants. Looking at before-and-after photos, or using virtual 3D images, can be helpful for some patients.

Answer: Will 240/250cc implants be too small for me? Hello, thank you for your question. A board certified plastic surgeon will be able to guide you to the correct size of implants. Measurements of the chest wall and breast imprint width as well as knowledge of all breast implant sizes and profiles should make this process easy. Try on a profile bra with various saline and silicone cc sizers your PS recommends under a tailored blouse, tank top, bikini, workout clothes, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected. The space between your breasts is determined by your breast tissue, muscles, and breast bone. Schedule an email, Skype or in-person consultation for proper evaluation.

Answer: Which Size Breast Implant Would be Best for Me? #breastimplants #breastaugmentation I think you'll look great with that size breast implant. At our office we always have our patients do sizing with actual silicone breast implants. They try them on in a bra to help decide which implant feels best. We have our patients do this at their initial consultation and again at their pre-operative visit. Looking at photos that our patients bring in also helps us to meet the expectations of each of our breast augmentation patients. Thanks for sharing, and best of luck to you!

Answer: Sizing dilemma Patients often think in terms of cup size when considering augmentation. Unfortunately, devices are sized in terms of milliliters (cc) of volume. This can lead to some confusion when sizing. Additionally, it is important to remember that cup size itself is not standardized with variations from one manufacturer to another. Unfortunately, as many women can attest their cup size in an industry leader such as VS is not necessarily transferable to another brand. Another point which is often under appreciated is that of anatomy and starting point. Any implant will add volume to the volume which is already present. The implant is additive. A particular volume will not necessarily confer the same cup size to different patients (often times it will not even confer the same cup size to different breasts in the same individual...remember they are "sisters" not "twins"). A general rule of thumb is that 125cc can represent somewhere between 1/2 to a full cup size increase. Smaller volume differentials (25-50cc) are typically less consequential representing a volume change of less than a shot glass. However, I have found these numbers, at least anecdotally, to be of little help. Patients often present with notions/goals which do not correlate with these sorts of sterile volumetric assessments. When sizing patients, there are a number of useful tools including: -3D imaging (has the added benefit of offering a volumetric analysis of the pre-operative breast) -Breast sizers (rice bags) -Goal photos I also recommend that patients commit to a particular look rather than a cup size. Once a patient settles on a look that pleases them the overall cup size increase becomes less relevant. The key is to respect your BWD. It is impossible to say for certain whether a 250 cc implant will a B/C. Too small is a relative question. That being said the key is to respect your BWD. In a smaller frame such as yours, 240-250 cc may be adequate. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS). Answer: Choosing the right size breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them.
