Am I a good candidate for a mini lift? If not, I would prefer no fillers (concerns about migration and COVID vaccine interactions), but am open to things like FaceTite.
Answer: Sliding genioplasty The photos show a recessed chin in both the horizontal and vertical dimension. A sliding genioplasty would correct both problems simultaneously and provide a well balanced face. The surgery is performed in the office with intravenous sedation and young patients are recovered in 3-5 days to one week. Biting and eating are unchanged and patient's can eat a normal diet from day one.

Answer: Weak chin You have a relatively "weak" chin but, in addition, the lower third of your face is short. In other words, it is not just that your chin doesn't project far enough; it is also short in the sense that the distance from your lips to the bottom of your chin is not long enough for facial balance. Look at the difference between the height of your forehead and the height of your chin. Unless that architecture is corrected, the other treatments will not help. You are too young for a minilift. FaceTite will not help you. You are correct to avoid fillers because they won't help you either. It would be instructive to see your teeth. It may be that jaw surgery to correct the skeletal foundation of your face would help more than anything. It would also set you up for a better pattern of aging in the future. I would suggest you see an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon for an evaluation. Don't mess with the skin; that's like the paint job on the house. Build the house first.

Answer: 32-year-old weak chin and neck sagging At 32 years of age, you do not need a mini facelift since your skin tone is excellent. You have a very recessive chin profile for which his chin implant can improve. The fat deposits in your neck are located above and below the platysma muscle. Consider a neck lift procedure which includes removal of fat above the muscle with liposuction and surgical removal of the fat below the muscle which also includes a platysma plasty. No skin removal is required. Both procedures can be performed under general anesthesia.

Answer: Treatment options Your individual look or facial appearance is directly related to your underlying facial skeletal structure. In your case your mandible is small and slightly under developed in comparison to your maxilla. The correct approach needs to take the primary problem into consideration to get the best outcome. I suggest talking to plastic surgeons with craniofacial fellowship training or oral facial maxillary surgeons. Oral surgeons tend to have more experience understanding the true nature a facial aesthetics based on bone structure. Plastic surgeons have different degrees of training when it comes to these procedures. Fillers should not be an issue in regards to migration or interaction with vaccines. you certainly do not need to have fillers if you don’t want. I don’t think a mini lift is going to do that much for you. You’re young and don’t have typical signs of facial aging. The premature jowls are related to the undersized mandible that lacks forward projection. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
