Is it safe to use Retin-A a month before microneedling?

My aesthetician and a doctor from this site said that I should use 10% Retinol for a month prior to microneedling. If I'm on prescription Atralin gel (Retin-A) right now can I just keep using this or do I need to switch to the OTC Retinol?

Thank you for your question about microneedling.   You can continue using the prescription strength of Retin A, it is stronger that anything you can purchase OTC.  It is safe to use leading up to your microneedling appointment.  You may consider stopping 1-2 days before your treatment.   I hope this helps.

Atralin is stronger than OTC retinol. it is ok to use prior to microneedling, but you should stop 7 days before and after the procedure. consult with your dermatologist regarding the procedure for your pre and post care instructions.
