The doctor I am considering said he would take somewhere around that long but I forgot to asks what the risks were. Thank you
Answer: 9 Hour Rhinoplasty 9 hours is a relatively long time for a Rhinoplasty. If it is a complicated revision involving a rib graft, I can easily see the procedure lasting 4 hours plus. However, I recommend that you return to the Surgeon you are considering to review risks with him.

Answer: Revision Rhinoplasty Revision rhinoplasty is a complicated and tedious surgery. The scar tissue, from previous surgeries, makes dealing with existing tissues more complicated.Usually, grafts are required to correct and support previous deformities. Cutting and placing these grafts will also takes time. That being said, a revision rhinoplasty extending beyond the 4- 6 hr mark, is highly unusual.Ensure you have visited at least two doctors, and that they specialize in rhinoplasty surgery.

Answer: 9 hour revision rhinoplasty Revision rhinoplasty is the hardest operation to perform an entire field of cosmetic surgery, so choose your surgeon very wisely based on experience, before and after photo gallery, ratings, reviews and testimonials. A 9 hour revision rhinoplasty seems very lengthy, so it is best to speak to your revision rhinoplasty specialist. In our practice, a very complicated revision rhinoplasty with multiple cartilage grafts, osteotomies and tip work would take no more than 2-3 hours.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty risks You should go back to the surgeon and discuss the risks in detail, especially as regards your particular situation. There is really not enough information here to go with, and I don't think citing a laundry list of possible complications would be helpful. 9 hours seems awfully long, even for a complicated revision requiring costal cartilage graft. Get 2 or 3 opinions.
