I have frontal diffuse thinning, is hair transplant a viable option for me? (Photos)

I’m 34 and have frontal diffuse thinning since my late 20’s. I'm on 1mg Fin for a year, with no sides. No regrowth, but I feel my scalp is healthier. I'm considering a HT. My goal is to restore density. I met a doc who is part of the IAHRS; he advises against FUE for a first time HT even though he does it and has ARTAS. Says a 2000 graft FUT to restore my hairline and some density. Is that too much or too less? I am also worried about the linear scar, stretching, and permanent shockless, etc.

I think that you are a great candidate for FUE.  2000 grafts without the scar on the back of your scalp is a no brainer.

Based on your photos and description I feel you are a good candidate for Hair Restoration.Up to 2000 grafts seems like a reasonable number but that determination needs to be done in person. At the time of evaluation graft numbers can be discussed as well as FUE vs FUT (strip ) as there are benefits/disadvantages to either method and “one size does not fit all”.

A hair transplant is a good option for a 34 year old with a thin frontal area. If you prefer FUE, I would do an FUE and I don't believe for a minute that FUE should not be the first hair transplant procedure. I am the inventor of the hair transplant robot, but recently got rid of mine because it was too slow.
