Today is 12th Apr-13. On 8th Apr-13 I had rhinoplasty surgery for the tip of my nose only. I had the tip lifted up using cartilage from my ear. I believe quite a lot of cartilage was used connecting from the jaw to the top of the tip to pull the tip up. The surgeon has already confirmed he did not cut the depressor muscles in my lip. It has now been 4.5 days since the surgery and my upper lip is so swollen that I cannot touch my top teeth. It got worst on day 4. Why is this? Will it resolve soon?

Nasolabial fold asymmetry can typically be improved with dermal filler injections. I would like to know when your rhinoplasty and alar base procedures were performed. If this was performed recently (1-3 months) might improve with time. You might want to ask your surgeon about massaging the area...
You should ask your Rhinoplasty Surgeon for his/her advice as you are still under his/her care 1 month post Rhinoplasty. If the nose is avoided, a 25% glycolic face peel (which is a rather mild chemical peel) should not affect the Rhinoplasty healing.
NOT usual. Best to be seen ASAP in your city. Was your surgery medical tourism. or was done in USA? Call the surgeon for recommendations. Bet you will not obtain one from out of country surgery!
