Would an upper blepharoplasty be effective for me?

There is no question the blepharoplasty can eliminate the hooding. However, in some patients lifting the eyebrows could be as effective and, sometimes, a better choice. In patients a combination of eyelid and eyebrow surgery gives the best outcome. In general we try not deplete the upper eyelids. Removing small amount of fat deposits from the outside half of your eyelids could improve your eyelids a great deal. In the images of that you have posted your head seems slightly tilted down, which can make the judgement difficult. An in person consultation which provides the opportunity to raise your eyebrows manually, amongst other examinations, will be very helpful in advising you more meaningfully.

Upper blepharoplasty would enhance the beauty of your eyes; however, it is important to maintain your natural appearance and not over correct the problem. It's difficult to tell from your picture because it appears as though the camera was above you.  When analyzing upper lids its important to analyze the level of the eyebrow as well as excess skin on the upper eyelid.  Although I cant be sure, an upper lid blepharoplasty most likely would be effective for you, however I would recommend you have a hands on examination by a board-certified plastic surgeon.

 Its very difficult to tell from the angle of the photograph, however an upper blepharoplasty procedure accomplishes removing excess skin and fat in the upper lids to  remove the tired or hooded look. The eyebrows appear relatively low, so a brow lift may need to be considered. For many examples of both procedures, please see the link and the video below

You would need to be seen in person  to determine if you have brow ptosis or need upper eyelid surgery or both. Best of luck.

Thank you for your question and photos.  Due to the tilted-down position of your head in the photo, it is difficult to assess how much of this is due to redundant eyelid skin or position of the eyebrows.  Blepharoplasty and/or brow lift would probably address your concerns, but this can only be determined with an in-person evaluation.  I would recommend that you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to learn more.

You do have heavy eyelid tissues that could be a candidate for eyelid lift, but more importantly your brows appear heavy and low, which is causing worsening of the appearance of the eyelids.  There's absolutely nothing wrong with your eyelids, but if you're hoping to improve the upper face consider addressing the brow problem as well.  Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. It is difficult to answer this accurately without an examination. Hooding of the upper eyelid, may be also the position of your eyebrows. Based on the one photo, this seems to be the case. In that case, more improvement can be achieved with a Brow Lift, rather than an Upper Blepharoplasty. If the brow is down, then only minimal improvement will be made with just performing an upper Blepharoplasty.If your brow is in good position then an Upper Blepharoplasty is the way to go. I would suggest you get a consultation from a board certified plastic surgeon.
