12 months ago I had a mole removed from my jawline. After the stitches were removed I was upset at the dog ears that had formed either side of the scar. I was told to give it time to heal and massage daily. It’s now been a year, I massage daily and use a silicone gel. And whilst the scar has improved, I still have the dog ears. Can someone please explain what causes them and if they will improve anymore? Also, why would a surgeon cut vertically along a jawline and not horizontal?
