I have a BA 6 weeks ago - mentor 500cc high profile silicone under the muscle. I used to regularly shoot and want to know how long I have to wait until I can safely shoot my 12 bore shotgun? Will it do any damage to the implants? Can it push the implant out of place?

Answer: Shotgun and Breast Implants Thanks for your question. You should be fine when using a shotgun after your surgery especially 6 weeks post-op. Just be sure to avoid any potential trauma or recoil from the shotgun to your implants or chest wall area.Best luck, Benjamin J. Cousins MD

Answer: Shotgun! This is a great question and the first time I've seen it on here! Check with your surgeon, but you're probably fine to get out and shoot a couple of weeks after surgery. By 6 weeks out, you should be good. Best of luck and happy shooting!~Dr. Sieber
