I had a breast augmentation done three weeks ago, I know what not very long. But unfortunately my breasts are no where near the size I wanted. I started off a very small a cup, and told my surgeon I wanted to be a large d cup. He told me that 375cc would give me that size and that's the largest I could go. Now that they have healed more they are quite small and no where near what I wanted, and don't fill out my clothing well. What are my options?

Answer: Unhappy with my size after breast augmentation. Can't afford another surgery. Thank you for your question and photos. You are very early in your postop course, and this is NOT your final shape. You will have a great result as your tissues will relax and stretch over 4-6 months. I believe your surgeon did a great job. What patients often do not understand, that inserting a very large implant into a small frame and small breasts, leads to very poor results with increased capsular contractures, malposition, overstretching and thinning of the breast tissue envelope and asymmetries. I use the Vectra 3D system to simulate the postop results during the consultation, using different size and profile implants. I find that there's better understanding when the patients see themselves in the simulated postop three dimensional photo from different angles. They have a good visual understanding of what is realistic and what they will look like postoperatively. It might be possible for you to go "bigger" in a year or two, when your tissues are able to accommodate a larger implant. Be patient with your healing. Good luck.

Answer: Unhappy after Breast Augmentation You are very early in the healing process and things will change quit a bit. You will have to be patient and wait until you are 4-6 months out to truly assess your breast augmentation surgery.Unfortunately, there is never a guarantee in size of cup that can be achieved. A good surgeon will base your surgery on your bodies tissues, measurements and frame. Given these parameters, the correct size implant is chosen. At times this may be slightly smaller than what the patient desires, but there are limitations on any given body. Once you start violating those limitations, you as the patient suffer the consequences later on with revision surgery.Just be patient and see how things look in 4-6 months, you may be pleased then.Good luck. Hope that helps.
