There is no way to accurately predict cup size as this measurement is very inaccurate and varies widely between bra manufacturers. Sizing should be based on your base width diameter, tissue elasticity, aesthetic goals, and other parameters. You also appear to have a tuberous breast shape with relatively large and low set areolas as well as a somewhat "pointy" breast shape. Augmentation will be very important, but I would guess that some type of breast lift, such as a circumareolar mastopexy, will be necessary to achieve the best overall shape. I would suggest that you try sizers at your surgeon's office to get a general idea of what size you like, and this "ideal" size will need to be balanced with what fits your body properly. Remember: size is important, but an excellent shape is even more important. Make sure that your surgeon discusses how he or she will reshape your breast into a round, youthful appearance if implants alone are not enough.
Whilst it is nice to have larger boobs, it is equally important for them to look as natural as possible. As a general rule, the larger the implant, the harder it is to hide them. The volume of the implant is dictated by your breast base diameter. Ideally your implant should be placed within the confines of your breast base to give you a naturally augmented result. One should also take in to account the weight of the implants. The larger the implants, the heavier they will be and this can have adverse effects on your breast envelope. The breast can end up being droopy with a stretched skin envelope in future if the implants are heavy. This may necessitate reducing the volume of the implant and doing a breast uplift procedure in future.Looking at your pictures you do not appear to have a very wide chest and I think that 450cc implant is quite big for you and you will probably end up with more than a D cup. Having said this, cup sizes vary widely between different manufacturers, the type of bra used and your band width. As you have said yourself, you are either a 34B or 36A at the moment... similarly following augmentation you could be a 34DD or 36D ie., your cup size increases as your band with increases and a breast that fills up a 'D' cup in a smaller band width bra may only fill up a 'C' cup in a bigger band width bra.
It is difficult if not impossible to accurately predict cup size for a given volume implant. This is simply because the cup size depends largely on particulars of your anatomy and cup sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Try instead to focus on the look you are trying to achieve. Bring goal photos to your surgeon. I also use bra sizers and 3D imaging in my practice to help patients through the process. Finally, in looking at your photos, you will likely benefit from a breast lift to improve the position of your nipples. All of this would be discussed after a more thorough discussion of your goals and an in-person examination. Good luck!
I appreciate your question. It depends on your chest wallmeasurements and existing breast tissue as implant size does not accuratelycorrelate to a bra size. It also depends on the brand and style of brayou wear as size varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Also, from your photo, it appears that you would benefit from a breast lift. A breast lift would reposition your nipples and reshape your breasts, giving them a more youthful appearance. The best way to assess and give trueadvice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plasticsurgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.Best of luck!Dr. SchwartzBoardCertified Plastic SurgeonDirector-BeverlyHills Breast and Body Institute#RealSelf100Surgeon
Hello, your final bra size will depend on the type of bra you purchase, your own breast size and shape, and the implants. This is why there is no direct correlation between implant size and final cup size. I would recommend seeing a board-certified PS to help you choose implants.
A specific size of breast implants won't be able do give a D cup or any specific cap to all the people. The bra cup size is a relation of the breast to the chest cage of the patient. Therefore women with a the same implant size and different chest cage will give different size cupsThe best way to determine if an specific breast implant will give XYZ cup size is do to a breast implant fitting exercise during a consultation with a boar certified plastic surgeon.
Remember that cc's do NOT translate directly into a cup size. The goal of breast augmentation is to optimally fill your breast pocket, not to overstuff or understuff it. At my practice, we utilize a series of 5 breast measurements that help me determine the implant size, which in turn helps me deliver a 24 hour recovery. Do your research and choose a surgeon who takes the time to sit down with you and discuss your goals/expectations to determine the best size for you. Good luck!
In casual term one can say you can have 34 D size with 450 cc implant. but its not accurate because different people have different measurements for the cup size. to get more predictable result you can ask your plastic surgeon to try brest sizer preoperativly and look into mirror and discuss the size you want
Thank you for your enquiry.Your nipples are in a slightly low position and I think an implant alone may give a bigger version of what you have. A better option might be to consider an uplift to lift your nipple position. It might be worth looking at the video on aurora-clinics.co.uk to find out more about this procedure.Good luck if you do decide to go ahead with surgery.
Thank you for the question. There is no accurate/reliable/predictable correlation between size/profile breast implant utilized and cup size achieved. There are simply too many variables such as a specific patient's dimensions and the variability in bra manufacturer's cup sizes…Although difficult to give you good advice on the single photograph, your photograph does seem to demonstrate some degree of breast asymmetry and questionable ptosis ( make sure that breast lifting, as well as breast augmentation, would not be beneficial to you).Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical.Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural look” or "full D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.
Hello, without knowing your preoperative appearance and more details of the surgery it is difficult to provide advice. For example, if your breasts had a different size or shape before the operation, there might be some residual asymmetry after surgery. If they were exactly the same, one i...
I appreciate your question. The size of implant best for you is dictated by your chest wall measurements. Once we determine that we can choose the profile based on what you want or need to achieve. If you are seeking a natural look, then the diameter of the implant should be equal to or, m...
Great question. The answer is both yes and no. Much of this depends on whether the implants are placed totally under the muscle, or partially above and partially below (dual plane). Total muscle coverage makes the implants sit higher which can result in the breasts looking smaller. With dual...
