Really disappointed with my Restylane lip fillers. Should I try Juvederm? (Photo)

Swelling a few hours after filler can often give patients a false sense of expectation of results.  The results from using juvederm or resytlane are fairly comparable; in addition, injection technique and amount of filler used are better predictors of increased volume.  It is likely that more filler is needed to achieve your desired results.  It never hurts to get a second opinion, and it is always a good idea to seek out an expert injector for fillers.

Restylane and Juvederm are both used as lip fillers.  Juvederm is more hydrophilic, which means it attracts more water.  This will result in a more full lip.  So if people are looking for a full lip, I prefer to use the Juvederm.   

It sounds like your surgeon did a modest, but reasonable amount of filler on your lips.  Now, you can see how it goes over the next few weeks and redo or add after that if you still wish to have larger lips.  I see way more people with issues than without issues after going for larger lips so it sounds like you should be careful before asking for more.  Good luck!
