I would like to do some lip filler in my upper lip. I already have full lips but I don't like much the shape of the upper. What do you suggest?

Hi Julia. You are correct in that you already have nice full lips. It's hard to tell from your picture, but you want to make sure that when adding fillers to your top lip only that it doesn't end up bigger than the bottom lip. I would take a conservative approach and add very small amounts of filler to your top lip until we achieve the shape that you desire. Make sure you find an experienced injector so that you don't end up with "duck lips". Hope this helps!

The most important factor with lip injections, is who is doing the procedure. I find for contouring rather than filling, using cannula around the mouth to lift and evert and then needle injections into the boarder and corners really helps give a natural appearing shapely lip, not one overly large or "fake" looking.  But again, finding an expert in the field would be useful for you.  This is not something you need to do often so finding that person who is expereinced is essential.  Best, Dr. Emer.

There are numerous fillers on the market that can be used to augment the upper lip.  Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, or dermatologist to understand your options.
