Will the puckering around the nipple and along incision eventually go? (Photo)

Question

I'm 2 weeks post op so I know it's really early to tell but I'm worried about the amount of puckering and creases along the incision scar, will this go away? I had a lift with no implant should I have got an implant to make my breast more rounded? And also is it normal that the incision comes below the natural crease underneath the breast it seems really long to me, any advice would be appreciated as I don't see my surgeon till 12 weeks post op although I have seen a nurse to remove the dressing

Hello!  Hope your healing process is going well. First a foremost, if you are concerned at all about healing you should call your surgeon and request a visit with him/her. 12 weeks is a long time to wait in regards to post operative healing. The current 'puckering' looks within normal limits for 2 weeks after surgery. Once your surgeon gives you a proper scar care protocol, you will begin to see areolas rounding out and incisions smoothing as well. Incisions heal microscopically for at least 12 months following surgery and are the most red/inflamed at 3 weeks out, healing occurs for a long time. Incision length appears to be normal as well. It is also very common to get a lift only, without an implant. As you heal, you will need to decide if a more round breast, with more upper pole fullness is what you desire, then potentially an implant would be the correct choice.
