Hi, I’m considering having breast implants. My breast are now empty after breastfeeding for a year. Would I need an uplift aswell? I would prefer to not have an uplift because of the scarring, also which method I.e. under the muscle or over, is less likely the cause problem. A little scared of having capsular contraction and double bubble. Thank you for your help
Answer: Do I have Pseudoptosis? Would I need a lift? (Photo) You may benefit from a breast lift with implants. A breast augmentation and a breast lift work hand and hand to enhance the overall shape and size of a woman’s breasts. These procedures are ideal for increasing the size of the breasts while restoring balance and youthfulness to a woman’s bust. The augmentation lift can help eliminate the sagging skin causing your breasts to develop a droopy look. It will give your breasts an uplifted appearance and a more desirable sloping shape. I recommend you setup an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon for proper evaluation.

Answer: Pseudoptosis? Good afternoon! You do have a little preudoptosis- most of your breast tissue is below the level of your nipple. I would recommend the following approach: 1) donut mastopexy to tighten your skin without having to give you the vertical scars of a more aggressive lift 2) submuscular augmentation 3) saline or silicone- your choice 4) size and profile to be determined when I measure your chest, we review photos together, and you have an opportunity to try on the implant sizers here in the office

Answer: Bellesoma Lift You are an excellent candidate for a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Implants are not lifetime devices. 8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years. Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast lift or BA Dear misslisa226,determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs. Answer: Do I have Pseudoptosis? Would I need a lift? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Unfortunately based on the limited views supplied, and not knowing what your goals are, it appears that you would most benefit from implant placement and a lift. The implant will help restore lost breast tissue after pregnancy and weight loss, while the lift will remove excess skin and allow for resizing and repositioning of your breast tissue and nipple into a higher, more youthful, position. Hope this helps
