I am day 6 post op after breast augmentation with a lift. The pain is worse.

Question

I am 6 days post op breast augmentation with a lift. I have 300cc put in. The pain is not getting any better by any means, it feels like it’s getting worse. I am due to fly out tomorrow. I am really bruised and the pain is so bad- is this normal??

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing pain following your surgery. It is not uncommon to experience pain a few weeks after breast augmentation surgery. However, it would be best that you visit your plastic surgeon for proper assessment and intervention to lessen your discomfort, as every surgeon has different approaches in pain management.

Is not unusual for breast pain to get better and worse in cycles for the first few weeks after your surgery. Some bruising is expected, but a lot of bruising should probably be evaluated by your plastic surgeon. Sometimes even emailing a photo can be helpful.
