I had lip fillers Saturday today is Wednesday so it's day 4 I thought swelling would of gone now.. my lips are un even I have a M shaped lip (middle bit is not filler that's just unfortunately my lip) I feel really parinoid and don't want to leave house.. does anyone else think I look stupid? I am scared this is dramatic and won't go down :( I've seen my injector & she's been amazing following me up & said in 2 weeks I can have this reversed but she wants me to long it out for now.. I feel ducky
Answer: Two week wait at least Although you are likely overfilled, I would wait two weeks for all the swelling to go down in order to allow for a good evaluation. This will allow the injector to know how much filler to dissolved. Good luck.

Answer: Swelling after Lip Augmentation Thank you for your question. It is too early at 4-days post-treatment to determine what your final results will be as it takes up to 2 weeks for all swelling to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to your lips to help reduce any swelling and bruising. It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s such as ibuprofen as they tend to thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising and swelling. If you are unhappy with your final results you can have the filler dissolved with an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. I recommend having a follow in 2 weeks with your injector for an evaluation. Best of Luck!

Answer: Post lip injection swelling I know it's scary and frustrating to not look the way that you want immediately, but the lips are extremely sensitive and post injection swelling is always an issue. Your injector is right. Wait two weeks and then reassess. Best of luck.

Answer: Swelling after Juvederm Thank you for your question kate0791. I understand your concern. Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler designed to enhance the appearance of the face. After a treatment swelling can last up to 2 weeks. At that point the final results are seen and more product can be added if further enhancement is desired or the product can be dissolved. I recommend that my patients apply cold compresses such as ice packs and sleep on an extra pillow if possible to reduce the swelling. Patience is important. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

Answer: Too much filler or still swollen? 1ml juvederm. Hi Kate, your lips are definitely still swollen and bruised. It takes roughly 2 weeks for lips to calm down after Juvederm. I do not think you should not remove prior to the 2 weeks and I agree with your injector. Hang in there, Dr. Downie
