It is normal and expected to be swollen after a mini tummy tuck with liposuction. This will take several weeks to resolve. During this time it is important to closely follow your surgeon's instructions and keep all follow up appointments. It's a good idea to keep a notebook handy for you to jot down questions that you have along the way. I've included a video on recovery from a mini tummy tuck that I hope you find helpful.

First, you'll need to talk to your own PS about the specifics of what you had done. Since lipo can be done via the BB or the incision that's used for the Mini-TT, the fact that you don't see lipo holes doesn't mean it wasn't done. The more pressing concern, though, is the swelling and for that you absolutely need to talk to your PS. Despite your drains you could have a back-up of fluid (blood and/or serous fluid) and letting him or her know what your status is step #1. When you talk to your PS about this, you can also discuss the lipo.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of #RealSelf500

Thank you for your question. I'm terribly sorry about your condition. You may have a hematoma or seroma, but only a physical examination can diagnose this. You need to be assessed by a plastic surgeon in your area. I recommend calling several local plastic surgeons and finding a surgeon who will...
Your surgeon will be the best one to answer this based on how you progress through recovery. Generally speaking you will want to wait at least 3 to 6 months between procedures to allow your body time to heal from the initial procedure.
