Revision Blepharoplasty / Suture thread extraction (Phtoo)

3y ago I got zygo+supraorbital implants +cantho+blepharoplasty in same procedure by Dr. Mario Pagnoni in Rome. Accidentally nonabsorbable thread was used for the subcuticular suture under the eyelids + the lateral ends point down (blue). His suggestion was revision with the indicated cutting line (red) + leave the burried suture knots (green) untouched. Q: Does that cutting line really solve the problem + not make it worse? Is there a way to localise knots echographically for precise extraction?

Sadly in this world if you ask enough people, someone will agree to what you are asking. Skin grafts in the upper eyelid are not remotely cosmetic. They are solely done to improve closure. Very few eyelid surgeons on the face of this planet are performing aesthetic post-blepharoplasty fold...

It is normal to expect some asymmetry and temporary shape change very early after lower blepharoplasty mostly due to swelling from surgery, in particular after fat grafts. You should wait at least 6 months before considering any corrective surgery unless you develop some functional issues....

Hi - I would agree that everyone is asymmetric, but if you wanted to make your eyes more "almond shaped" a canthopexy or canthoplasty would tighten the lower lid and give a more positive vector and almond shape. There are limitations and I would ensure that you understand expectations and results.
