Can I get a nose job even if I've had fillers injected?

Question

before 1 year and a half i went to my doctor and he injected radiesse in my nose and i was very happy with the results it made my nose look slimmer and this year i had it done again but i wasnt happy with the results , so i decided to get a nose job! my question here is , is it ok to get a nose job while i still have the radiesse inside my nose??

would wait 6-12 months after fillers to do any nasal surgery, especially if you had a
more longer lasting filler like Radiesse. I usually do not
recommend injecting Radiesse into the nose. Radiesse tends to have more scarring
and
it’s more difficult to remove when doing rhinoplasty surgery. This should be done in the
hands of a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Otolaryngologist with expertise
in Rhinoplasty.

question.Yes, it is safe to have a rhinoplasty or nose job while you still have Radiesse in your nose. However, the final results might be unpredictable.

To be sure, see two
or more board-certified plastic surgeons or board-certified ENT facial plastic surgeons
in your area for a full and complete evaluation to make sure you are a good
candidate and that it is safe for you to have surgery.

You can have a rhinoplasty after fillers but it is best to wait some time. Radiesse can cause scaring which makes rhinoplasty surgery more difficult. I would recommend you speak to a board certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation to go over the best procedure for you.

Your doctor needs to asses your nose especially pre and post filler photos. Some filler can be disolved using a prodcut called hylaze so best to talk to your surgeon.

It's not a contraindication for rhinoplasty but filler typical generates some scar making these operations more challenging.

It is best to wait at least a year or 2 after injections in the nose to make sure they have all subsided before electing to undergo a  surgical rhinoplasty procedure. The rhinoplasty procedure can narrow permanently a wide nose. For many examples, please see the link and video below
