Are my breasts too wide? (Photos)

Question

I had my BA done last April. After BF my kids, I was left with zero and I mean zero breast tissue. I went in for my procedure wanting motiva 200 cc, my surgeon had ordered the wrong implants and had mentor instead. He talked me into moving forward with my surgery and used 235 cc. I have been unhappy with my results as I wanted to stay very small, but not only that I feel like my implants are so wide and I have a huge gap in my chest. Ive been super self conscious of shirts I wear as I just feel like I'm very wide! Should I consider a revision?

It is important for patients to understand that augmentation will "augment" all aspects of your anatomy. The spacing of the footprints of the breast on the chest wall will vary from one individual to the next. Widely spaced breast will appear more widely spaced and vice versa. 
The spacing (cleavage) is defined by the pocket. The pocket is defined by the plane of augmentation.When placed submuscular, the medial/middle limit is the sternal origin of the muscle. Wide sternum  greater separation of the breasts  less dramatic cleavage. This space can be narrowed (with some risk of synmastia) when the devices are placed subglandular or "over" the muscle. There is no muscle obstructing a medial push, however, there is a higher risk of over-dissection and midline migration of the implant (the dreaded "uni-boob").
With regards to your specific question, a higher profile device is narrower but will project more. A wider device can create the illusion of closer spacing between the breasts (when placed subglandular). Most patients will fit into the "moderate +" category...but this will depend upon the measurements of your breast width. That being said, it is never recommended that you stray far from your unique BWD.
And remember...love the look you choose...not the cup you desire.
With regards to your specific question, it is unlikely the last minute change in volume made a significant difference in outcome. 35 ml is less than the volume of a shot glass (approximately 44 ml). If you are unhappy, revision is always an option. This begins with a conversation.

From the submitted photos your results are nice and the size is harmonious with your body.  The distance between your breasts is determined by your anatomy and cannot be changed with implants.  The distance was the same before augmentation but the implants made it more noticeable to you.  If you feel they are too large you can downsize them to a look you are more comfortable with.

Your right breast is in good position and looks very nice. I think your disappointment comes from your preparation for surgery and not actually the result. I think Motiva are better implants than Mentor implants however, I don't think using a Motiva implant would have changed your result.

Your result was predictable from your preoperative photo as your left breast naturally sits more laterally (towards your side) and when placing an implant we can't move the location of your breast we can only enlarge it. So the real issue was in your preparation and not being told about this and that it couldn't be changed. We simply can't move the breast to a more central location on your chest.

Most patient's dissatisfaction after surgery is because their results were not met but if patients go into surgery understanding the limitations of their anatomy and are prepared and understand how their breast location will affect their results then people are prepared and are usually happy after surgery despite the same result.
