I recently had a breast aug post op 1 month. I got 310 ccs moderate plus profile and went under the muscle. I have not been happy with my results since I think I went too small. I started off as a 34B and now fit as a full 34 C but still, they do not look big enough. it has been very disappointing since I've been looking forward to this for 4 years and paid so much $$. Should I wait to get my breast aug revision, if so, how long? will my breasts increase in size in next 6 mons? TYSM :)
Answer: Revision I recommend waiting 6 months from your surgery date before doing any revision. At that time, assess your size, volume and desire. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Wrong Size Surgery I speak about this a lot. There are only two validated ways of selecting the right size implant: 3D simulation software photography or in-office sizing. When done by an experienced surgeon, your issue NEVER happens. If you chose your implants by looking at third party photos that were posted with implant size, or you simply let your surgeon pick (guess) the size, I urge you to go on social media and tell prospective patients that you can't do it that way. As for you, you need to drop and fluff, minimum 4 to 5 months. At that time, if you still feel that way, then change them out. Alternatively, if you feel like the implants should have been significantly larger (50% to 100% larger, or in the neighborhood of 450 cc to 600 cc), you can possibly proceed sooner. Your current surgeon is likely going to be your cheapest path to revision surgery.

Answer: Surgery Unless you gain weight or become pregnant, your breasts will not enlarge in size. At six months from surgery, then consider a revision if you want. However, you and your surgeon picked this size, so try on implants to find the size you want. and that will fit your frame and tissue. At one month, you are still too early from surgery to do a revision. Please discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Answer: Implant revision I have some initial impressions but it is almost impossible to give you a worthwhile answer without photos of some type. I'd be happy to do a virtual consult if you wish and that would also help.

Answer: Breast augmentation outcome To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. I suggest you talk to your provider about your concerns and have him or her guy do through the decision making process. Using implants that are substantially larger than the natural anatomy of your breast Will increase undesirable side effects, increase complication rates, and will increase the need for revision surgery. Respecting your own natural breast diameter is important in order to have a long-term quality outcome. If you’re unhappy with the outcome, then maybe spend some more time looking at your before pictures. All plastic surgeons are familiar with the expression. The enemy of good is perfect. Violating the natural boundaries of the breast during breast augmentation leads to problems. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
