Is lymphatic massage before a procedure of any benefit?

I'm seeing where some physicians recommend lymphatic massage after lipo and tummy tuck to assist with drainage of the swelling. Would it be of any benefit to have an initial lymphatic massage prior to having these procedures to in effect ensure there are no current lymphatic drainage issues which may cause problems after the procedures?

Lymphatic massage certainly will not hurt you after a mommy makeover and there could be some benefits. But the scientific evidence of such benefits is limited. I do believe that massage can help to soften scars and scar tissue after surgery, but whether or not it dramatically improves swelling...

Is Myofascial Release As Part of Lymphatic Massage Damaging to a TT?

It is unlikely that myofascial release techniques could undo the muscle plication of a tummy tuck, but it is also probably more vigorous than is necessary. You want the fascia layers to adhere after a tummy tuck, so focusing more on lymphatic drainage techniques is probably best.

Not only is lymphatic massage unnecessary after liposuction it doesn't work in the first place. Endermologie is the same.
