I am not happy with my profile and have always thought my chin / jawline was not strong enough, and I want to balance my face as best I can. Where should I start?
Answer: What Would You Benefit Most From I suggest beginning with an in-person consultation to discuss your options. During your initial examination, your #chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline. A weak #chin implies a lack of chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall #balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local #anesthesia. For individuals with signs of #aging in the neck, a chin implant added to one of the recommended procedures above, will provide optimal results. Also, #liposuction under the chin is also another option your doctor can discuss. If you are not a candidate for chin or neck rejuvenation at the time of your #consultation, your board certified plastic surgeon can recommend alternatives to address your concern. However, there may be additional options to improve the appearance of your concern to improve the overall balance of your face. Such can be best evaluated in-person. Consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in #face, #neck and #chin procedures is important to ensure you are receiving the best advice, care, and surgical experience possible.

Answer: Chin implant, possibly neck sculpting Unfortunately your photos provide ufficient info for good evaluation. In-person evaluation would be necessery to decide about chin augmentation, type and size of implant, as well as adequate form of neck sculpting being that Kybela or liposuction. Good luck.

Answer: Liposuction of neck. You will benefit most from surgical liposuction of neck. It is predictable, precise, faster and safer than treatments mentioned in your question.

Answer: Depends on your goals, but I would recommend in isolated necklift, plus chin inplabt The neck is built in layers. The fullness under your chin is not due only to fat, but also to deeper muscle, glands, and fibrous tissue. Coolsculpting and Kybella can partially treat the fat. Liposuction can treat it more completely. All of those options leave a lot to be desired on final result because they can’t treat the more important layers of the neck - the true foundation. I would treat this with a 1.5 inch incision behind the chin crease to treat all neck layers at fault, and also consider a chin implant through the same approach. Please see the video below. All the best!

Answer: What would I benefit most from a chin implant or liposuction? In our practice, we would recommend surgical liposuction in the neck to permanently remove fatty deposits and placement of the chin implant. Both of these can be performed through the same incision under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. Kybella will require multiple injections over the course of several months with significant swelling and downtime for after each injection. Best to have all of it done at one time, to minimize the amount of surgical downtime with bruising and swelling. For many examples of this combination, please see the link and the video below
