Hello, I had my hair transplant roughly six months ago. I'm not too satisfied with the results because it doesn't appear very dense. I can see too much scalp in certain lighting. Sometimes I will put dark cosmetics where I'm receding to hide this. Should I be worried? Will my hair get thicker and start to cover more of my scalp? Or will I need another procedure?
Answer: 6 month result Great question. With most patients, the real hit of density doesn't develop until 6-9 months after a transplant, and some will improve up to 18 months. I wouldn't lose heart quite yet. Continue to take pictures to compare month to month (same lighting and camera), but hopefully it will improve. Keep in mind that maximum density will be 35-40%, even for a successful transplant and it may require a second pass/procedure to get to your goal.

Answer: Still only 6 months This can be a very slow and nervous process; I know as I have done the procedure myself as well. It takes a full 12 months for the hair to fully grow in and for some even a little longer. So, you have only gotten half way and most of the hair growth occurs in the 2nd half so you have lots of time for growth. Unfortunately, the hair growth is not uniform and consistent. It grows in inconsistent and patchy which can be frustrating. Have faith and patience and you will have much better results in 6 months. Whether or not you want another procedure depends on your expectations and desires. It looks like you have very thick hair behind the transplanted area. In patients like yourself I often will counsel them that even with very good transplant results, the transplanted density will not be as thick as your native hair density and you may want a second procedure (a 2nd coat of paint as I call it) in the same area to double the density so the density matches your native hair density better. Even with good results from the transplant I would anticipate you will want a 2nd procedure as most young men want thick hair at the front of their hairline. I hope this help...good luck!

Answer: Analysis Hello. Please do remember that hair transplantation process is a year long. On the six months mark, it is expected to see the 50 to 60 percent of the results. Always be in contact with your Doctor for him/her to give a healthy feedback.

Answer: FUE results HiMost people would see approximately 40-60% growht by this tme, but again evceryone is different. It is still early days. Growth would depend on number of grafts used as well, without knowing how many grafts have been used, it would be diffiuclt for anyone to comment on the growth. I would suggest contacting your surgeon. All the bestDr Sahu

Answer: Hair growth at 6 months post-op. Hello, you cannot see the final result at 6 months post operation. At this stage, the hair is still thin but gradually it will grow in thickness and density after 6 months. Some grafts didnt have a full growth. You need to be patient. The density depends about the grafts transpanted number. the hair transplant cannot provide the same density as the original hair.
