9 months post-op - What's going on with this heat-induced discoloration after my TT? (photos)

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

I do not have a great explanation for this one. I would ask if you potentially had a garment on that was rubbing on that skin more than the surrounding skin. Blood flow issues should be resolved by this time.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. This does happen in a small percentage of patients after surgery and it is safe and should not cause you concern. The discoloration episodes decrease with time so hang in there.

It is hard to say why the skin is hyper-reactive to heat, but the fact that it resolves is a very good sign. I feel it will resolve with the passage of time (another 6 months).
It is difficult to laser something which resolves.
