I am considering abdominoplasty, but the abdominal plication is more important to me. I have had gastric bypass, I have lost 200 pounds, and have had several abdominal surgeries over the years, and 7 hernia surgeries. 3 in 3 years. All this left me with severe diastasis rectus and very weak abdominal muscles. Does abdominal plication during a "Tummy Tuck" help strengthen the abdominal wall? Is there less of a chance of having so many surgeries due to a weak abdominal wall? Thank you!
