I am finally coming up on my surgery date! I have done a lot of research and I am going with a 430-455 high profile silicone gel. My worries were that it was going to look too big because I am very petite, 5 foot 2 inches and 110lbs. My natural breast is very small AA and I have had three children so they have lost their fullness in the top. I’m pretty confident that this implant size will give me the outcome I am hoping for. I will add some preop pictures and my wish pictures until after my surgery! Updated on 11 Aug 2021: Hey guys! I am here in post op, just got everything ready and IV started!! I’m feeling very excited and nervous. I will post another update with a new boobie pic!!! when I get out of surgery. ………….,,, Updated on 11 Aug 2021: Boobs are done!!! I haven’t fully got to see them yet! I was wondering if anyone was nervous to take the bra off?? I’m kinda debating because idk if I can place it back on properly.. When I woke up from surgery I had a big pressure feeling on my chest and that’s about all the discomfit I’m feeling, no!! Updated on 13 Aug 2021: Post op day 1. I am feeling pretty good, got my first half shower last night and got to get a couple pictures and a better look at my breasts. I am so happy with my results so far! Just waiting for them to drop down now! Updated on 23 Aug 2021: Hey guys! So most of my swelling is gone and I’m not in pain unless I move wrong. I have a 3 year old that has been very hard to deal with as far as not picking him up BUT I haven’t!!! That’s probably my most challenging. They were really high and tight for about 10 days. The only thing I’ve noticed is I have a little bump in between my breast more so on the cleavage of the right breast that’s alittle painful but I think it’s just my breast bone because it poked out alittle bit before I had surgery. It’s not visible just able to feel it. I have been doing massages like my surgeon recommended at 1week post op and that’s been softening them up pretty well! Updated on 5 Oct 2021: So!! Everything has been wonderful as far as my healing process, breasts have dropped to the same spot as each other finally so they are perfect!!(left was SLIGHTLY slower at dropping). I’m so blessed to have had such an amazing surgeon!! Updated on 20 Nov 2021: Hey everyone! So I am loving my results and everything has been pretty easy going in the past few weeks. A couple days ago I noticed when laying down that my right breast was indenting, and now I read back in my other review and realize that’s where the hard bump was In the beginning. I’m not sure what it is but I have an appointment for Dec 7th to have my PS check it out. If it’s nothing serious I probably will just deal with it because you can only see it if I’m laying down. Has anyone else had this?? Updated on 19 Dec 2021: Loving my boobs. I’ve been massaging and wearing underwire bras to possibly help with the indent problem but really it’s only visible when I am laying flat on my back when my right implant shifts alittle to the side I see the indent. I’ll worry if it becomes a problem but it’s not noticeable most of the time. Either way it’s 100% better then what I started with!!! They feel like a part of me.
I originally went to Dr. desai in April 2019 with 400cc mentor smooth, round silicone implants. I love my outcome but a few months went by and I realized I knew I wanted to go larger. I went back and decided to go with 750 (overfillled to 800cc) smooth round saline implants. I am only on the first day if recovery but I haven’t been in any pain ( just a lot of pressure) and bouts of drowsiness. They are extremely swollen but I am excited to see my results :) Updated on 29 Aug 2020: Here are some of the wish pics I choose to show my surgeon. Can’t wait to see my results! I will post in a couple days for my week post op. So far the second day post op has been the most painful. I spent the first and second day laying on the couch with a 45 degree angle as advised. The third day I was up and running errands but taking it very easy. I still have a lot of swelling but can’t wait to see how the settle. I know they are going to be exactly what I asked for!!
Dr. Desai gave me my life back! After having a double mastectomy in March of 2017, he performed the Diep Flap procedure on me on Dec. 8, 2017, as part of my breast reconstruction. I can't express how thankful I am to have had him as my surgeon. He is so professional and caring about his patients, and his staff is also excellent! Before I went to sleep in surgery, I had a cold...hard...flat...corded chest. When I woke up...I had warm, soft breasts...and I actually had some feeling in them. I feel like me again! I am just thrilled and would highly recommend Dr. Desai for any type of plastic surgery, and especially the Diep Flap procedure, which requires alot of skill! Dr. Desai will forever be my HERO! :)
I’m one week post op and am on a bit of an accelerated schedule because I live out of state and have to leave town in a few weeks. I loved working with Dr. Desai and the amazing team at Center One Surgery. Got my steristrips off yesterday and passed out a minute later (I faint easily, but ugh. Should have left them forever). I just took my first solo shower and put neosporin on everything. It makes me lightheaded- not from pain, really, but this weird disconnect where I can’t feel anything but pressure! It’s like Novocain in your boobs. Anyway, I’m obsessed with my new pair. They’re amazing. I’m still a C- there wouldn’t have been enough blood flow if he got me down to a B, but oh well. I’ve been a 34-36H for over a decade and I’m so. Freaking. Excited. to buy a bathing suit!!
Breast cancer survivor who had undergone chemo, double mastectomy and radiation. Dr Desai coordinated with my general surgeon during mastectomy so my reconstruction would go well 9 months later. I had DIEP procedure which utilized transplanted fat from my belly to reconstruct my breasts. Dr Desai’s skill is outstanding.
Dr. Desai did an amazing job on on my breast reconstruction, following a bilateral mastectomy due to a breast cancer diagnosis. During a very difficult time, he managed to bring some light into my life. He's an extremely positive person and, as a surgeon, he's a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want during the reconstruction process. I wouldn't be where I am, if it weren't for Dr. Desai. If I could, I would give him a million stars!!
It took me couple of consultanions with Dr Dasai , since i was scared but he assured me and he gained my trust and i agreed to continue with the procedure.. He walked me through procedures step by step and from beginning to the end ( even after yesr n half) I went back to redo my belly bottom and he did it without charging me any additional cost... i won’t say it was an easy decision or an easy Surgery.. no it wasn’t ... it was more painful than having my baby... but did it worth it? Absolutely!!!! I got my confidence back and my beautiful flat belly before having my baby.. even more flat.. i can actually feel my abs and see my core muscles... Him snd his staff are super friendly and professional ,beautiful calming atmosphere in the waiting area and super organized ... I would choose Dr. Ankit Dasai for any other of my needs in the future...
Before the surgery, I was a 34A cup and now I'm wearing 34D. I'm so happy with my results, they look and feel very natural. They are the perfect size for my body. I went with a 400cc silicon gel, which ended up being the perfect implant size for my body. My body looks more proportional now then it did before the surgery. I am so glad that I didn't pick a smaller cc size. Dr. Desai was the one who suggested 400cc for me and I'm so glad I took his advice! He knows best!
Well, like many, many others, I've also been lurking on this site for several months. I had my consultation visit with my PS on 12/22/2015. After determining that I was indeed a very good candidate for BR, the documentation collection began. To complicate matters, effective January 1, 2016, my insurance coverage was changing from FL Blue Medicare to AARP United Healthcare. So, actually, documentation began then. The insurance coordinator at my PS office, Kristi, went above and beyond to gather the information required. She submitted my paperwork this past Tuesday and we received approval for the surgery TODAY!!!! Cost to me, $0.00... yippee!! The hospital may have a co-pay, not sure about that yet. I am in shock that it happened so quickly. I expected at least a couple of months to fret over the whole thing. The surgery scheduler will call me in the morning to finalize where Dr. Desai will do my procedure. I plan to do pictures of before and after and long the way as well. So I'm glad to be part of this group of compassionate ladies. Updated on 2 May 2016: My doctor, Dr. Ankit Desai is a miracle worker. That is all I can say, that and I wish I had done this 35 years ago.. If you've been thinking about it,you should do it!! Updated on 15 Oct 2016: It's been almost seven months since my surgery. I am so happy with my decision to have this done and also extremely grateful that fate put me in Dr. Desai's oh so capable hands. His staff was beyond extraordinary. Kristi, who worked so very hard to help me get everything submitted to my insurance, is a miracle worker!! She submitted my paperwork on Tuesday and received the approval on Thursday of the SAME WEEK!! Yes, only three days!! Many thanks to the staff there, they all go out of their way to assist in any possible way. I'm telling everyone I talk to that is even mildly interested to go see Dr. Desai, he is truly an artist!! Even the pre-op admitting nurse told me that she wanted her daughter to see Dr. Desai for her BR. How's that for a recommendation?? Thank you again, so very much. ????
Let me first begin by stating that anyone in Jacksonville, FL or within a 200 mile radius should not think twice about selecting Dr. Ankit Desai as their choice of Plastic Surgeon! After having bariatric surgery and loosing 150 lbs I was referred to Dr. Desai by the physician who performed by surgery. It just so happened that my cousin had a total mastectomy and tummy tuck by Dr. Desai and had nothing but the highest praises for him and his entire staff. After my first consultation I was very impressed with his genuine interest in exactly what I wanted. He listened as long as I wanted to talk, made a few suggestions and even laughed at my corny sense of humor. I had 3 other consultations with various well known surgeons in the area and there was no question in my mind I wanted Dr. Desai. He performed a "debulking" and brazilian butt lift then 5 months later I had the bilateral thigh lift. To say I am extremly pleased with my results is an understatement. His bedside manner is like no other I have evver experinced. I am looking forward to my armlift next year. :-)
Choosing the appropriate size for your breast augmentation relies on many factors including your: 1. current breast size 2. the amount of skin you have, 3. your desired cup size 4. your breast and body measurements. You should consult with a plastic surgeon performing breast augmentation regularly who will work with you to pick the right size and profile. It shouldn't be just choosing one of two sizes and the right size for you means incorporating both you and your plastic surgeon's recommendations. Sizing bras do help determine an estimate of the size you hope to achieve. In our Jacksonville breast augmentation practice, we utilize silicone gel sizer to help patients feel comfortable with the size they choose. We also help them decisions by informing them that there can be some limitations according to their existing breast measurements as well as that the sizers appear larger in the bra than inside the body. In addition the use of disposable sizers during the operation, where we place temporary disposable implants and determine what sizes match your desired goals and body help to ensure consistent patient satisfaction. - Ankit Desai, MD, Jacksonville Plastic Surgeon
