Dr Desai and his team are incredible. . I work in the medical field and he is truly excellent!! His work is phenomenal and life changing! Just amazing . . The absolute best!! Highly highly recommend!!
I had my explant with total capsulectomy performed by Dr. Desai on 4/9/25. I only had my implants in for six years. My capsules were still thin and healthy. No rupture or capsular contracture. I did pay additional ($130 self pay) to have the capsules sent off to pathology. The results came back with showing "chronic inflammation" which didn't surprise me. I believe Dr. Desai finished the surgery in one hour. I woke up feeling like I just had the best nap of my life. Truly. When I had the implants put in years prior with a different surgeon, I remember waking up from the anesthesia feeling awful, really out of it, groggy, and nauseous. It wasn't fun. But this time around, it was the complete opposite! I felt so refreshed. No pain either. Just soreness. I rested there for another hour before my husband drove around to pick me up. I had 3 post op appointments after surgery at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months. That was already included in the price by the way. I'll never forget at my last post op appointment after Dr. Desai had checked me/my results and asked how I was feeling about it all, etc - he then ends with, "Well, I'm so happy you're happy. Now go enjoy your life." Loved that. From the consultation up until now, Dr. Desai was always professional and kind. Never dismissive. I never felt rushed or that my feelings didn't matter. His entire office staff, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, and everyone at Center One Surgery Center were also professional and kind from beginning to end. I highly recommend! Oh! Last thing, I also really loved that they uploaded photos and video of the capsules/implants to their online portal that I was able to view and download right after surgery!
Dr. Desai is truly an artist. After loosing 105lbs and keeping it off for 3 years I decided to get rid of all the loose skin. I look in the mirror everyday day and think how lucky I am I pick such an amazing doctor.
So kind and patient! Dr.Desai comes in the room with a smile and welcoming personality putting you at ease. I never felt rushed or left with unanswered questions. I had gone through a mastectomy and followed by reconstruction and nipple tattooing. Everyone I speak with including my friends that work in oncology as reps refers him and his name is the first to come up when looking for a Dr during stressful times of being diagnosed with cancer. His staff is friendly and wonderful. Thank you Dr.Desai for everything during a hard year and for the beautiful results. Stonya Losco
Dr. Desai was great and gave me almost exactly what I was expecting. He liposuctioned my stomach and gave me a breast augmentation with lift and mesh. I’ve had two other unsuccessful breast augmentations, so I went in not having high hopes, but this is the best my chest has ever looked!
Dr Desai is a true artist and professional! He is honest and will tell you his true opinion based on what is best for the patient. His staff is very nice and always helpful. The entire process was much easier than expected and the results amazing! I would recommend Dr Desai to anyone.

Doctor Desai took a lot of time explaining the results of the procedure very attentive during the surgery, and after the surgery, the staff or pleasant, accommodating and professional. very little discomfort.
I was extremely happy with Dr dedai from his bedside manner to his special gift. I started out at the Mayo Clinic plastic surgery, and felt very uncomfortable that they weren’t listening to what I needed for me that I started researching the top plastic surgeons that dealt with and en block capsulectomy removal of my implants And doctor Desai immediately listen to my concerns and provided my husband and I with an action plan and his self-confidence in his skill won me over. We were not disappointed …now I sleep better. I feel better. I look better and close fit better and it’s a continual healing process. I would highly recommend Dr. Desai for any cosmetic procedure because I believe That he was given a special gift from God bless him and everybody else in this office they were all amazing Hope Janezich
The best surgeon in Jacksonville, and all of his staffs super friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Only thing is he is so booked that you have to wait a few months to schedule your surgery. Other than that no regrets at all
Thanks for your question, yes, there is experience within the plastic surgery community with implant sizes larger than 800cc in breast reconstruction, though it's relatively uncommon and considered outside the standard range of FDA-approved silicone implants in the U.S., where 800cc is currently the maximum available off-the-shelf. Anything beyond that would typically involve either overfilled saline implants, stacked implants (rare), or custom implants sourced through specialized channels. In carefully selected patients, particularly those who are implant-dependent after mastectomy and are seeking a larger, more augmented appearance, larger volumes can be safely used. The key factors that determine feasibility include the dimensions of the chest wall, the integrity and elasticity of the soft tissue, and the quality of the implant pocket. For patients with a stable reconstruction, no history of complications, and an adequate skin envelope, moving beyond 800cc may be appropriate, but it’s not without added considerations. Larger implants carry more weight and may increase the risk of long-term issues like bottoming out or lateral displacement, especially in thinner individuals or in those with limited soft tissue coverage. Any surgeon considering this type of revision would need to evaluate you in person, perform measurements, and possibly use imaging or sizers to model your goals. It’s definitely possible in the right setting, but it requires a personalized approach and a clear understanding of both the aesthetic goals and the mechanical limitations of the tissues. If you’re seriously considering this direction, I would recommend consulting with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience with complex or high-volume reconstruction cases. They’ll be able to guide you through your options in detail and help determine what’s both safe and achievable based on your anatomy and long-term goals.
Based on the details you've provided, your plan to switch from the Natrelle SRX-580 implants to the Mentor BOOST high-profile implants appears to be very reasonable and well-suited to your aesthetic goals. You’ve done an excellent job maintaining your reconstruction, and it’s clear that you have a strong understanding of what you’re looking to achieve. The BOOST implants are known for their soft, cohesive gel and enhanced upper pole fullness, which aligns well with your preference for a fuller, more augmented "fake look." With your current implants having a base diameter of 13.5 cm and a projection of 6.4 cm, the BOOST option, with a base of 14.4 cm and the same projection, represents a subtle increase in width without changing the overall forward projection. This change should provide slightly more volume and medial fullness, helping bring your breasts a bit closer together and enhancing cleavage without significantly altering your overall silhouette.
Choosing the appropriate size for your breast augmentation relies on many factors including your: 1. current breast size 2. the amount of skin you have, 3. your desired cup size 4. your breast and body measurements. You should consult with a plastic surgeon performing breast augmentation regularly who will work with you to pick the right size and profile. It shouldn't be just choosing one of two sizes and the right size for you means incorporating both you and your plastic surgeon's recommendations. Sizing bras do help determine an estimate of the size you hope to achieve. In our Jacksonville breast augmentation practice, we utilize silicone gel sizer to help patients feel comfortable with the size they choose. We also help them decisions by informing them that there can be some limitations according to their existing breast measurements as well as that the sizers appear larger in the bra than inside the body. In addition the use of disposable sizers during the operation, where we place temporary disposable implants and determine what sizes match your desired goals and body help to ensure consistent patient satisfaction. - Ankit Desai, MD, Jacksonville Plastic Surgeon
