I had liposuction on my abs, hips and back with my bbl 3 days ago and I feel incredibly swollen. I look way fatter than I was before. I have a really important event in 4 weeks and want to know if all the swelling will be gone by then? What is everything I could do to make the swelling go down fastest?
Answer: Swelling After Liposuction Most of the swelling should be gone at 4 weeks, but residual swelling can last for 2 to 4 months or more. Exercise or excessive activity from 6 to 9 months may cause 10% to 15% return of swelling. Be sure to wear your compression garment, take walks, drink plenty of water and avoid salt. Good luck.

Answer: Swelling No, you still will have some swelling at one month and take up to 6 months for it all to be gone. However, the worse will be behind you,. Please wear your garments faithfully, drink lot of water, and walk. Avoid excess abdominal activity right now to discourage more swelling. You will probably be your biggest at the end of the first week.

Answer: It takes time for skin to tighten up after liposuction, and at three days after surgery many patients will look more swollen than they were right before surgery. The body reacts to surgery initially with significant swelling as the healing process begins. Fortunately, you will see improvement over the next four weeks as both the initial swelling resolves and as your skin begins to tighten and assume the shape your surgeon initiated in the liposuction procedure by removing fat in the areas you described. Most patients look good after four weeks, but in truth, the final result has not yet been achieved and there will be continued improvement over the next months. Most people see their final result in the three to six month time frame. So you can expect to look much better in four weeks in time for your event, but the improvement will continue beyond that!
