I am currently a 34b and next week I am having 480cc silicone implants put in. I am 25 years old, 5'5" and about 120 lb. if any one has had these same size implants put in and are around my body size and had the same pre-implant size, before and after pics would really help me. I'm just trying to get some kind of idea as to what i will look like after surgery and what Amy bra size might be. I know it's hard to determine based on volume but any input would be much appreciated!
Answer: Implant volume and cup size At size 34 each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 480 cc implants would take you up 5 cup size to a size G, will not fit retro-pectoral, will extrude inferiorly and laterally requiring revision. 22% of women of undergo breast augmentation require revision within 2 years because they are dissatisfied with the result. Avoid over implantation or you will require revision. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: I'm wondering approximately what my bra size will be after implants? Thank you for the question and picture. Despite your good description of your body type and goals, online consultants will not be of specific enough help to you. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you're looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C or D cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. The use of computer imaging technology may also be very helpful during this communication process. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery. I hope this (and the attached link) help.

Answer: What bra size? What bra size do you want to be? I think that should be the starting question!! My guess is that 480 cc implants will put you in a DD or E cup size. Is that where you want to be? I'm curious to know how the size selection was made between you and your surgeon. Did you select a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon? Did you have any input in size selection? Did you try any sizers in your bra? I'm afraid this response may be too late but you're welcome to visit my web page at drbrou.com and see some before and after photos but you won't find anybody with your dimensions that received implants that large. Answer: Cup size after breast augmentation Determining cup size is one of the most difficult things to do with a breast augmentation because everyone is a different shape and size and every Bra manufacturer seems to be different. One basic rule of thumb is that it is about 200 mL per cup size. I suggest that you work closely with your surgeon with sizing. I tell my patients they should use a sizer and pick the size they like the look of and then go find a bra that fits. Also I suggest my patients take Sizer's home with them and then go to the store and try different size bras on with the sizer to get some idea of where they are going to be if they are particularly concerned about cup size.
