I have a question about a scar from a belly button piercing that I would like to get removed (Photo)

Asked By:santalucia in Tucson, AZ

I had a belly button piercing that got badly infected while I had the jewelry still in. It was hurting a lot and would get caught on my clothes, get tugged, etc., so I just decided to take it out. It left a really bad scar above my belly button, it is round and elevated. It is pretty noticeable and red, almost like a keloid. I don't know if I need to get plastic surgery, laser, or if there are any home remedies that I can do to try and fix it.
