Hi there! Cartilage grafting can be very precise. It all depends on how the surgeon utilizes the cartilage and shapes it. Too thick and it may be visible. Too pointy and it may show-through. An open rhinoplasty would allow complete visualization of the cartilage and precision with suturing. The cartilage will likely come from the septum, but sometimes ear or rib is needed if much of it is gone. Hope this helps!
