Next steps after rhinoplasty (August 2020) to improve symmetry? (Photos)

Question

I had a closed rhinoplasty back in august of 2020. Although there were some improvements I'm not 100% happy with how my nose looks now. Specifically, I see major indentation on the left side. The surgeon who conducted my surgery wasn't willing to do refinements. I did a consult with another surgeon to discuss filler, but he wasn't willing to place filler on a nose that had been operated on. What would be my next steps to improve symmetry? Thanks!

Minor office procedure. Sometimes more than one fat transfer is necessary because over correction is obviously undesirable and there is some fat resorption and limits to how much can survive.  If have extensive experience over 20 years and it has been quite successful.

Thank you for your question and photos. The left side of your nose does appear to be indented. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to make treatment recommendations without an in-person consultation first. Sometimes, dermal fillers or fat grafting can help correct imbalances such as yours. However, a revision rhinoplasty may be necessary to correct a deep indentation in the bone and cartilage. I strongly encourage you to seek professional guidance from a board-certified facial plastic surgeon with plenty of experience performing revision rhinoplasties.

Solely based on your photos, it does appear that the left side is indented, and you may need a revision surgery to address the issue, but a physical exam would be necessary to be certain. Revision rhinoplasties are very technically challenging procedures that often require advance surgical techniques and should be left up to the experts only. I recommend consulting in person with a board certified plastic surgeon who has decades of experience in revision rhinoplasty surgery for an expert opinion.
