I had a primary closed rhinoplasty 7 years ago and while I am happy with the improvement, I've been unhappy with the bulbous look of my tip area. I understand this is due to either scar tissue build up or not enough bone being shaved down, or both. My surgeon said he doesn't recommend another surgery because I have thick skin. I am actually ok with having a bulbous tip nose, but I'd like for it to be slightly more refined so it doesn't look so "swollen". What would you recommend?

Try to avoid disrupting pimples with tweezers in the future, as this can introduce bacteria into the area. It would be best to follow up with your surgeon, as pus can be a sign of infection.
Thank you for your photos. A right- and left-sided profile picture would have been very helpful to see to determine if your body created excess scar tissue. I do see the asymmetry to which you refer, but please keep in mind that the tip remains swollen far longer than all other aspects of the...
If you're looking to camouflage a small profile bump 13 months after revision tip-plasty, fillers may be considered for camouflaging this small bump, depending on your examination. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph
