I have had hooded eyes my whole life. But now I feel like they have lowered and I can see them in my line of site and feel them when I move my eyes around. Would I be a good candidate for bleph or would I ask need a brow lift?
Answer: Brow lift You are an excellent candidate for a brow lift. A brow lift will raise your eyebrows. At this time, they are below the level of the orbital rim. After the brow lift is done, you may not need a blepharoplasty. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Eyelid surgery and browlift Upper blepharoplasty removes the extra upper eyelid skin that causes hooding. In patients with low set eyebrows, often a brow lift is performed at the same time as upper eyelid surgery. At times with an isolated upper blepharoplasty, the eyebrows could get lowered, therefore combining the two procedures can enhance the cosmetic results of the eye region.

Answer: Am I a candidate for eyelid surgery? Based on a photo but without an examination, a combination of a subtle elevation of your low lateral brow and an upper lid blepharoplasty will produce a more natural and better cosmetic result than either one alone. The lateral brow elevation will shorten the length of the scar that is required in the upper lid to correct the hooding of what you describe as "outside the natural eye." Keep in mind, that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the proposed operative procedure with you may not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Hooded eyes From the photos, it appears that the brows are heavy and touching the eyelashes. It is reasonable to try botox in the "crow's feet" and glabellar area to relax the muscles that pull the brow down. At the same time, avoid botox in the forehead since that will allow your brows to relax downward. It is also reasonable to discuss a browlift with a facial plastic surgeon. If you decide to get a trichophytic brow lift, it would be able to bring your hairline down a bit while supporting your brows. Your forehead will appear longer if you decide to get an endoscopic browlift.

Answer: Am I a candidate for upper eyelid surgery You have low eyebrows which are creating the hooded look on your upper lids. Consider a brow lift procedure to raise the eyebrows and lift your lower lids off your eyelashes
