Hard pallete graft + lateral tarsal strip asymmetry... what now? (photos)

Question

2.5 months ago I had hard pallete grafts and a lateral tarsal strip performed in both eyes to reduce my lagophthalmos. The problem is that there is now assymetry between the two sides, with my left side being higher and shorter, while my right side has dropped and the corner has blunted. The surgeon has suggested reperforming a lateral tarsal strip to reposition the right corner higher, but I am also unhappy with how squinty my left looks... what is possible at this point?

You are very early since your surgery. I would advise that you see your surgeon regularly and allow time for the tissues to settle and remodel before having any other procedures done. This will increase the likelihood of a successful outcome for you. I wish you all the best.

To make an accurate regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedures we need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. It’s also a little early to judge the results at this point. I suggest giving yourself a proper amount of time to heal, then follow up with your provider.
In order to have an understanding of what was done during the surgery, including your candidacy for the procedure, and the changes made we always have to have reference to what you look like before.
