No, Botox will not stretch the skin. Botox results resolve in 3-4 months and then the treated area will go back to normal. Best, Dr. Emer
Botox does not cause the skin to stretch. It causes muscles to relax and the overlying skin doesn't continue to crease with muscle movement any longer so the lines improve. However, if Botox is injected into a forehead in a patient whose forehead has already become droopy and the eyebrows and upper eyelids are starting to sag, then there may be more sagging after the Botox because the forehead can't continue to help raise the forehead. But this is not stretching out the skin. Interestingly, there is a key area of the lower forehead that when injected helps raise the eyebrows and open up the eyes a little more.
No, Botox injection will not stretch your skin. What it will do is immobilize your muscles so that your facial wrinkles go away.
No, Botox does not remove wrinkles by stretching your skin. Instead, Botox is able to remove lines and wrinkles by temporarily relaxing the muscles in your face. This period of muscle relaxation leaves the face looking and feeling smoother. Over time, the treated muscles gradually regain function, and generally return to their prior function three to four months after treatment. Should you have any other questions regarding any skin care treatments, there is no substitutes for an in-person consultation with a certified medical provider.
Botox relaxes muscles, which in turn will NOT stretch your skin. Most people report feeling a tightening effect from Botox and other neurotoxins.
No, Botox injections will not stretch your skin. Botox suspends the contraction in dynamic muscles to soften the lines made by repeated facial motions. There is nothing in this process that will stretch your skin. In fact, there are studies which suggest that regular Botox injections may help delay a deepening of lines while in effect, for an anti-aging benefit.

Botox is a medication injected into target muscles on your face to selectively weaken them for smoother skin and softer wrinkles. When the medication is injected, the fluid can temporarily tent up the skin, but it does not stretch it and cause future wrinkles.
Botox will absolutely not stretch your skin. If anything, it may prevent stretch, by lessening small amounts of movements over several years of use. It also increases blood flow to areas which may also be beneficial in the long term.
